We have an immediate opening for a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician for our amazing Sherwood Park location. This permanent, full-time position is Monday to Friday (7:30 to 4:00) with paid overtime; 40 hours per week with benefits. Journeyperson wage is $46.11 per hour as set by Union Agreement through the IUPAT, with increases in 2026 and 2027.

What You'll Do

  • Consistently maintain and repair equipment to high standards
  • Conduct thorough testing of machine systems to identify faults and verify repair
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls
  • Adhere to and participate in company safety policies and culture

What You Need to Have

  • Full compliment of hand tools up to 1-1/4″
  • Reliable transportation
  • Steel toed boots meeting CSA standards
  • Clear communication – Speak, read and write English
  • Punctuality, integrity in your work, and a commitment to growing technical skills
  • Adaptability to work on a variety of equipment with an attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Good physical condition – Ability to work extended periods on your feet, work in adverse weather conditions and able to lift 50 lbs
  • Clear communication – speak, read. and write English fluently

Other Information

Our fleet includes (but is not limited to) heavy construction equipment with gas and diesel-powered units, vehicles, forklifts, media blasting equipment, vacuum units, generators, compressors, dust collectors, diesel fired heaters, heavy truck, light trailer, telehandlers and skid steers.

This position will require the following:

  • Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
