Community Partnerships

Everyone deserves access to basic human needs and Park Derochie is passionate about supporting organizations focused on youth development, education, and health & wellness.

To further our charitable efforts, a staff-led Park Derochie Community Action Committee (PDCAC) was established.

Together, we support the following initiatives to create a brighter future for individuals and families across the regions we serve to help build a better tomorrow.

PDCAC Contributions

Mustard Seed

(Edmonton)

“The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984. Operating in seven cities across Western Canada, The Mustard Seed is a supportive haven where people can have their physical, mental, and spiritual needs met and grow toward greater health and independence.”

A Safe Place

(Sherwood Park)

“Founded in 1982, the Strathcona Shelter Society works to end domestic abuse and violence in our community.”

Edmonton Food Bank

“As an affiliate member of Food Banks Canada, we are committed to the mantra: Relieving hunger today. Preventing hunger tomorrow.”

Hope Mission, RW Tegler Youth Centre

“Kids need a safe and fun place to hang out, be challenged, and grow as individuals. Consisting of a climbing wall, a huge indoor skate park, games room and a Media Arts Centre, the Centre offers many engaging opportunities to try new things.”

KidSport Wood Buffalo

“We provide grants to help cover the cost of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Wood Buffalo can play a season of sport.”

Sport Central

“Empowering kids, one piece of sports equipment at a time. Our primary goal is to retrieve, repair, recycle and redistribute sports equipment to kids, ages 4-17 who may not otherwise have access or the opportunity.”

Merle Derochie Memorial Golf Tournament

Our co-founder, Merle Derochie, was a visionary and his commitment to excellence continues to shape the foundation of our organization. In 2006, we established the Merle Derochie Invitational Golf Tournament to honor his legacy and dedication to community involvement.

After his passing in 2022, the Invitational became the Merle Derochie Memorial Golf Tournament so we could continue to do good and raise funds on his behalf that will greatly impact our charitable partners.
